Ok so I got some details wrong that I’ve been so corrected on…

The cheer coach is not the dance coach- but she still tried to put someone on the cheer squad without a tryout (though Jill denied her- but my point still stands she tried assuming it’d be ok)

The 3H teacher is the captain not the vice principal of the dance team, and the principal WAS picked but said no- I did not hear about that I just heard about her making it. (I still don’t find it fair even IF their routines were awesome- no there is no other school, but they still run it and should give other kids a shot- which is what Jill did)

The president was “punished” but still got to finish the race and didn’t have any major repercussions other than a smack on the back of her hand, an apology, and fix what she broke.

Supposedly that teacher didn’t wear bits (but I got that info from someone I trust who was at camp- maybe there were two people- who knows)

Yes, I did ask for a raise- but I was doing anywhere from 10-20 hours a week spending on the school for 250L/week- sorry that isn’t fair. I did say it was fine after she said “we don’t have the money- can you wait till next month?” Everyone I talked to said it wasn’t fair- I wasn’t alone.

Yes, the school is supposed to be fore the “experience” but it’s still my opinion that it’s a waste of time (as do other people- but they do it because it’s just something to do).

Did I mention they held an assembly about mah blog? Yes. Hold an assembly. That’s a good idea- just bring MORE attention to it- come on- you know you want to- let’s make such a big deal out of it so people know about it before their kids sign up- that’s a good plan.

What I find SO funny about all of this- is that NOBODY said anything about the harassment from a teacher to students, immature behavior, bi polar and unstable. That really shows a lot. Sorry- but I would think those would be the big things one would want to correct and not the meaningless things that probably don’t really matter at the end of the day.

/me really needs to get back into posting more.

So it’s been up and down the past week or so. I’ve been on my hiding a bit because of drama etc. We’ve also had no customers at the photography studio (luckily we’re not renting somewhere else for that) and Dancing for Vie has been insane.

I officially am NOT working at HKE anymore. Why you may ask? Well here you go:

One of the teachers is not only bipolar, but has worn bits on her around children during camp and ran around a sim screaming that she was going to kill herself.

Another teacher acts immature and breaks rules students are supposed to follow nearly every school day, not only that but has harassed students outside the classroom and has played dirty during elections on her kid alt.

Ooh the elections. The president campaigned way dirty and even totally trashed one of the teachers houses (she moved around furniture because she had mod rights and added other things) and taped it/put it on youtube and all she had to do was apologize. She also has harassed students in the past as well as played dirty during her campaign.

Did I mention most of the staff have kid alts that go to school? Well they do. As I’ve heard the principal and vice principals kid alts are captains of the dance team. Does that seem fair? I think not.

The dance team/cheerleading coach let a girl on the cheer squad without a tryout. Who is that girl? Lyvia’s alt. She also adopted her.

The kids don’t learn anything. They have like an hour of class. Most of it is trying to calm the kids down or waiting for kids to come in. The rest of school is recess/gym/lunch. I understand recess- that’s for clubs, but gym and lunch? It’s too laggy on that sim to do anything and WE DON’T NEED TO EAT IN SL! These three things make up over an hour of school time. Not only that but during class they learn things like weather, adding decimals, etc…. ummm we kind of already did that in RL!!! I understand it’s supposed to simulate a real school- but seriously- you can do that while teaching things worth knowing in SL like building or scripting. Sorry- but I find it a HUGE waste of 2 hours, it’s basically only there for socialization.

I’m obviously not going to take my kids out of there- but I ain’t going back there and don’t want to touch it with a 10 foot pole- sorry wayyyyyyyy too corrupt for my taste.

If anyone from HKE cares about what I wrote- tough shit. All of this I found out from word of mouth so I’m pretty sure the entire school knows- I’m just stating it out loud for everyone else to hear. Don’t IM me about it- it won’t be taken off my page. Suck it up and open your eyes. If you IM me in world about it- I’ll mute you. Plain and simple. No names were stated (other than Lyvia’s- but that acct is cancelled and I didn’t state her alts name) so only those involved with HKE will know who I’m talking about- unless you feel like digging and finding out who I’m talking about.

OK while I’m ranting I may just keep going on another thing

SICKEZE HUD

For those that are not involved in the child avie roleplay.. this is the HUD that has swept the kid world!

My daughter Ami wrote a consumer report here… but I’m going to write my own little rant about it.

This little HUD you attach will help you ‘roleplay’ being sick. Ok first of all, why the hell would you want to get sick in SL? That’s the BEAUTY of SL- you AREN’T sick (that’s why I’m in it ffs)

Ok Ok so part of being a kid is getting sick I get it… but let me go on.

Sicknesses spread. If you are near another kid with the SICKEZE HUD and they are sick, you can catch that (such as a cold or flu or bronchitis). The infection rate however is INSANE. Danni caught bronchitis from Ami from 10 meters away!! And there’s very little time kids spend not sick if they are always around kids. There is an “immune” state which is like 4 or 5 hours or something, but that isn’t much if you are ALWAYS on SL.

Speaking of this “immune” state… this goes for things like appendicitis. I know a kid that got her appendix out TWICE! How the hell does that happen? Did they take her spleen out by accident the first time and so her appendicitis cured and then she got it again and they took the right thing out this time? Did she just grow a new appendix? Ok, I understand catching the cold more than once- but that is insane.

You can also break arms etc. This seems decent. Danni broke her arm falling 500m… now theoretically she should have DIED but at least she broke something… but a friend of mine broke her arm from using a deruthing rocket… another just by running into a wall.

I think there may be some bugs to work out in this thing.

It’s also a whopping 500L. Sorry, I find it a total waste of money. You can roleplay sicknesses better than this thing. (Where did roleplaying go anyways?? Has it really gotten to the point where you need a HUD to help you roleplay!?)

ZOMG! It has been one hectic day in both RL and SL! HAPPY ST. PATTY’S DAY!

First day back at school after vacation and it’s just been a whirlwind!

Woke up at 5:30amEST (stoobid melatonin pills) but stayed in bed till I had to get up (8:30amEST). Got ready, blah blah blah, had class from 10-10:50… got an A on the project I did when I interviewed Lai and Kylie and a 94 on the test I had to take before vaca… so that put me in a good mood.

After that went on SL for a bit and dealt with HKE student council stuff. Put the nomination box out! For any kids from HKE reading this (I doubt there are any but just in case) please read the HKE student council student government blog for more details. Nominations will continue through Friday.

Boring history class from hell from 12:30-1:50pm. Got a B- on the paper I bullshitted last week. YAY!

First building classes were also today! They went really well even though some kids didn’t show. It’s okay though was only a very basic building window and prim manipulation class. I’m so excited the kids seemed to love it! It will get more interesting once we move onto projects though!

Vienna is also back in action! She had her first show today in like two weeks! It was awesome though I forgot a few of my dances. Was sooooooooo nice to be back on stage! I missed it so much!

Had a paper due tonight too for Genetics that was due at midnight, got it in about 11:30 though! I’m proud of myself! Was only a 500 word essay on the company 23andMe. Was really interesting to read about and makes me want to switch to genetics that much more. I know, I’m a geek, no need to tell me I’ve already admitted it!

I think that’s all that has happened today. I’m exhausted. Worn out. I can’t wait to possibly take a nap tomorrow before lab! Time for me to relax with my Danni princess for a bit then pass out.

Story of my life! Attack of the cooties and being allergic to gym!

So had a long day.. productive.. but long.

Jill FINALLY sent my notice out last night about the building class I’m teaching at Hardknock so I made the group and such last night. Today was preparation day. I boxed ALL of my textures, each folder into a separate box, ALL of my pose balls and ALL of my freebie scripts. It took me almost 2 hours to do this. I have like thousands of textures so it was just a mess. I got it all done though! YAY!

I also got the second lesson plan done and two projects written up and figured out. I’m all set now! At least for the first few classes….

I got the building platform re-set up since it was accidentally returned to me yesterday… yeah I kinda flipped out when that got returned… luckily it was easy to set back up. YAY Mystitool!

There was also school tonight. Two teachers were missing so it was interesting. Luckily not many got sick, although the kids made Ms Tali pass out during fencing and one girl had a cold and laid down the last ten minutes of school.

That’s all that really went on today- nothing really fun- just work. At least it’s done!

Oh, I didn’t really talk to Jo at all today either We talked for a min or two while he was on his cell… his dad took him out to a pub when he got home then he went straight to bed. I’ll see him tomorrow though

Tomorrow I really have to work on school work since I haven’t done ANY this vacation. Hopefully I’ll get the nerve to do it…. we’ll see though.

Back into SL I go! Ally isn’t feeling well
